She sits staring out a window as the patter of rain, and thunder roll. A flash of lightning illuminate her face to reflect purple and red, wrapped around wire like hair. Eyes so hollow, no tears strike down her puffy cheeks, to sustain the pain.
Heavy footsteps echo from down the hall, everything seemed to stand still in time as the house sighs in silence. He walks in feet like tree stumps, hands like bricks, that lay on her shoulder, "You know we love you.."
Curtains fall as she hits the ground, to reveal darkness.
Beds of white in rows of two surround, a blood soaked sheets. She blinks to see an ivy's in her arms. She hurts to breath, each movement intensifies through a machine, and she blacks out.
"Mommy….---….Daddy…-----….why??....---…"
She wakes to see doctors around her, naked under a green robe. A tray of instruments lay in wait as a large UV light shines on her torso. "Marie's awake; get me------"rings fade the doctor's voice as night lower.
Snow drifts on the window before her bed, flowers of bleach sits by her unconscious bed, notes pile high beside a corpse like child. A mothers rage turns to a father's obedience. God's love, did it reach her? Isn't a mothers love the truest form of it? Marie is not the only one, who wondered the same before Deaths cold hand snatched her away.
I like it. I like it's macrabere mood, and I like it's questions.
Great work!
